Testing at Castle Combe Circuit
MSA/ARDS Test & Circuit Tuition
Test days at Castle Combe Circuit are very popular, particularly because the number of days is limited. Therefore, whichever kind of day you are interested in it pays to book early.
If you’ve never been to Castle Combe Circuit before you will find testing runs differently from other circuits, this is mainly because we are restricted in the number of cars we can run on the circuit at the same time, the plus side is lots of track space!
"The best club racing circuit in Britain" - Autosport magazine
We agree and so do the race fans who turn up in their thousands. If you want value, close exciting racing with some of the largest grids in the country, a race programme often featuring 10 or 11 races crammed into a 4½ hour afternoon, then Castle Combe Circuit is the answer.

Sound Limits
All vehicles using the circuit and circuit property are subject to a static sound check at any time. In accordance with MSA regulations, sound is measured using a sound meter. Measurements are made at 0.5m from the end of the exhaust pipe with the microphone at exhaust outlet level at an angle of 45 degrees with the exhaust outlet. Sound is also monitored continuously at the trackside. Please see current MSA Competitors Yearbook for full details.
If you fail the sound check, we cannot allow you on to the track, or offer a refund. A noisy car could jeopardise the day for everybody else, Merlin Motorsports can usually supply additional silencing to bring the car down within our requirements. Merlin can be contacted on 01249 782101 or Click Here for their Website
