I was there on the 5th too, with uksaabs.

Unfortunatly I didn't take my silver 9000 as it has a huge appe***e for gearboxes right now, but I did manage to take my courtesy car out for 3 cheeky sessions hehe.

Anyway, i've dabbled in a bit of video editing and ended up with this....

Another view also suggested that he did try to take out the car in front as there was some contact earlier but that was just what it looked like from the other angle

Link to a wonderful Group B Rally Car tribute, it has no annoying rawk music just pure engine sounds.
Brings back memories of standing waiting for the cars on the RAC Rally soaking wet and cold, but as soon as I heard the first car coming through the woods it was all worth the wait.
These cars were awesome.

One memory from the early eighties I'll never forget is standing in a mid-Wales forest in the middle of the night, watching the cars wind their way up the stage, with loads of camera flashguns going off and hearing the 'popping' of the engines through the trees
Anyhow....1.55 into this vid,there's a 40 second clip from the 83 RAC @ Combe (which I Marshalled btw )
