CASTLE COMBE CIRCUIT APPOINTS NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM TO BOLSTER VENUE DEVELOPMENT
Castle Combe Circuit has announced the appointment of three new members of management staff amid a period of significant modernisation at the Wiltshire race track.
The new hirings are Rich Perry as Events Manager and Max Symonds as Commercial Manager, as well as the promotion of George Marshallsay to Sales and Marketing Manager.
The news comes following the venue’s commitment earlier in 2023 to steer Castle Combe Circuit towards becoming a leaner, greener and more modern venue, with a diverse range of benefits promised for those attending upcoming shows, race days and other events.
Rich, Max and George will also work closely alongside the recently-appointed Facilities Manager, Steve Weston to assist with the extensive safety reviews that are currently being carried out both on and off the 1.85-mile track.
2023 has already played host to some welcome changes at Castle Combe, including a full re-brand, the introduction of a new shop and merchandise line, as well as the launch of an outdoor cinema and the return of the much-loved Bike Night events.
The management team is next focusing on modernising the circuit by overhauling a number of current facilities, as well as improving operational processes. Venue attendees should start witnessing these upgrades as they continue to visit the venue in the near future.
Events Manager, Rich Perry brings with him a wealth of event management experience, previously working at both Bristol University and the University of the West of England on their respective event management teams. “I’m delighted to be joining the Castle Combe Circuit office and helping bring the venue fully up-to-date with the way it operates. We are very excited to develop the venue’s already-impressive array of events, as well as introduce new listings to the calendar,” he commented.
Commercial Manager, Max Symonds, boasts a colourful career in commercial and marketing management. He is also a successful motorcycle racer, currently holding the coveted ‘King of Combe’ trophy after winning both the 2022 and 2023 Motorcycle Grand National races held at the Wiltshire venue. “Having been a long-term customer and competitor at Castle Combe Circuit, I’m excited to bring my experience and ideas to help grow the commercial potential of the circuit in support of planned developments to our on-site facilities and event calendar,” he said.
Sales and Marketing Manager, George Marshallsay, moves up from his previous position as Marketing & Events Coordinator/Retail Manager at Combe. As well as assisting with the renovation of the on-site shop, he has also successfully managed various marketing campaigns, and looks forward to showcasing the venue’s modern new additions as they are implemented. “I’m excited to continue the journey with Castle Combe Circuit as it evolves and I head into my fifth year with the company. After a tricky few years, I look forward to the brand’s future, where we want to maximise our offering and deliver the best possible experiences to our dedicated customer base,” George explained.
