PADDOCK LIFE NAMED AS OFFICIAL MEDIA PARTNER FOR CASTLE COMBE’S AUTUMN CLASSIC EVENT
Premium automotive lifestyle magazine, Paddock Life, has been confirmed as the Official Media Partner for the 2023 instalment of Castle Combe Circuit’s Autumn Classic historic race meeting, set to be held at the Wiltshire venue on Saturday, 23 September.
The news means that the London-based publication will have a large presence at the popular show, not least in the form of a substantial trade stand area in the Chippenham Road area of the grounds, where show-goers will be able to speak to Paddock Life staff and check out magazine issues hands-on.
Paddock Life seamlessly combines cars, motorsport and art in each substantial 180-page issue, as well as containing lifestyle articles that cover topics such as car-related shows, fashion and food/drink. An antidote to the advert-filled, low-quality car magazines that line the shelves today, Paddock Life is a classy complement to any self-respecting petrolhead’s quality down-time, also making for the perfect coffee table addition.
As well as releasing around three to four issues of the magazine per year, the team behind the publication has also recently finished co-produced an upcoming television series, The Paddock Speedshop, in the lead-up to the company’s tenth anniversary.
The story depicted in Paddock Speedshop involves the team’s 20-year-old Harvey taking the plunge and becoming a fully-fledged racing driver, with one of his inaugural races taking place at Silverstone Festival in a genuine Shelby Cobra. Some of the pre-race testing took place at Castle Combe Circuit, which can be seen in parts of the programme.
The Autumn Classic is Castle Combe Circuit’s annual historic race meeting, combining non-stop classic car racing action out on the 1.85-mile circuit with a raft of vintage-themed entertainment in the scenic paddock areas flanking the track. A chance for attendees to don their favourite old-fashioned outfits and soak up the magical atmosphere, it proves to be an unmissable event each time it descends on the Wiltshire venue.
George Marshallsay, Castle Combe Circuit’s Sales and Marketing Manager, commented on the news. “Having Paddock Life supporting the Autumn Classic is fantastic news – the brand perfectly represents the rich history and lifestyle aspects of motorsport we celebrate at this event each year, and we think the team will add a really special element to the show.”
Craig Blake-Jones, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Paddock Life magazine, was equally-as-positive about the announcement. “Working with Castle Combe Circuit as a media partner is a very exciting move for us. As the Official Media Partner, we will bring regular features and glorious images from the circuit to the pages of Paddock Life magazine, as well as opening a new retail opportunity for our publication in the on-site Castle Combe shop.”
