CASTLE COMBE STAGE RALLY 2026 – WHAT TO EXPECT

The Castle Combe Stage Rally returns to Castle Combe Circuit on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November 2026, bringing two days of competitive stage rallying to the circuit.

Across the weekend, competitors will tackle nine stages covering approximately 50 miles of sealed-surface rallying, using both the circuit and outer perimeter roads. With two stages taking place in darkness, the event offers a different experience to a typical race meeting.

Whether you’re a regular rally fan or visiting a stage rally for the first time, here’s everything you need to know before your visit.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Stage rallying offers a very different experience to a conventional circuit race meeting. Rather than cars racing side-by-side, competitors tackle the stages individually against the clock, with every second counting.

Spectators will be able to watch the cars tackle the stages from designated safe viewing areas around the venue, as well as getting close to the action in the service area between stages.

The paddock will provide an opportunity to see the cars and crews up close as teams prepare for the next stage, while Saturday’s evening action will bring the added atmosphere of rallying in darkness.

TWO DAYS OF RALLY ACTION

Documentation and scrutineering will take place on Friday afternoon and into Saturday morning, before competitive action gets underway at 12:31 on Saturday.

The Junior Championship will lead the field away before the afternoon continues with four stages, each approximately 5.5 miles in length. The final stage of Saturday will take place in darkness, adding an extra challenge for competitors as daylight fades.

Sunday’s action begins at 08:45, with the Juniors again leading the way. A further five stages will follow throughout the day, with the first car expected to finish from 15:20.

VIEWING THE RALLY

Spectators will have access to designated safe viewing areas around the venue, providing different perspectives of the rally action.

We recommend making the most of your visit by exploring the venue and experiencing the rally from the different viewing points available, while always remaining within the designated public areas and following instructions from event marshals.

The main paddock will also operate as the rally service area, giving spectators the chance to see the cars and crews between stages.
