This very successful class-based Championship’s big attraction is the vast diversity of eligible cars capable of being competitive. While the nimble front-wheel-drive hatches have traditionally been favourites, a competitive group of turbocharged cars is now featured in the results.
Motorsport UK List 1A, 1B, and 1C tyres and limited suspension modifications also help to keep costs down.
Many front-runners use fully race-prepared engines with budgets to match. However, many competitors compete with very modest budgets and have great races. With large grids, there is always someone to race with.
