Circuit Information

As one of the UK's best-loved circuits, Castle Combe offers spectacular racing, modern facilities and stunning scenery, with easy access to anyone in the South-West and beyond.

Circuit Length: 1.85 miles

Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED



When visiting the circuit, you may wish to wear comfortable shoes and bring a camping chair. The viewing banks get you up and close to the track action, however we do not have stalls or chairs around the circuit. 


Food & Drink:

The Tavern is open for most events, selling hot food and drinks including tea and coffee. Located in the main paddock area. On event days, there are various catering vans around the site.


Racing Club Shop:

The Castle Combe Racing Club shop is situated opposite the Start Line in the Race Control Building selling a range of club merchandise from t-shirts, baseball caps, stickers, mugs, keyrings, folding chairs, toy cars and more!

Cash Points:

There is a cash machine available in the Tavern cafe with limited funds available and will charge you to withdraw. There are no other cash machines available on site, however the circuit office will accept card payments.



Camping facilities are available for certain events. Please call for more information.


Circuit Noise Restrictions:

Castle Combe Circuit operates under strict noise management due to local planning constraints. These limits vary according to the event, please see event "common questions" for more information. 


Merlin Motorsport:

Located in the paddock, the shop sells performance parts for racing.

With the exception of assistance dogs, no animals admitted on days when the race circuit is in use. Assistance dogs must have formal identification in the form of a white harness, organisation specific branded dog jackets, lead slips or id tags on the dog’s collar. Assistance dog users must be able to provide a yellow ADUK branded ID book. If the dog is not registered with ADUK, we have the right to refuse entry. The Castle Combe Circuit is 5 miles west of Chippenham on the B4039, just half a mile from the village of Castle Combe. Click here for maps and directions.


Disabled Visitors Access:

As part of our commitment to make Castle Combe Circuit accessible to all, for our promoted events we may provide those disabled ticket holders that require full time assistance with 1 free ticket for a partner, accompanying friend or personal assistant (PA).

To qualify for a complimentary PA ticket will need to email/send in writing:

  • Your name
  • The name of your carer
  • Contact telephone
  • Address

And one of the following;

  • A copy of your most recent DLA letter for care and/or mobility
  • A receipt of your Personal Independence Payment (PIP) showing your current entitlement
  • A copy of your Attendance Allowance

NB: Children (aged 17 and under) with a disability must be accompanied by an adult paying the full retail rate as with all child tickets for the venue.

Castle Combe - The Comprehensive Story

The comprehensive story of the Circuit is available in a book published for the Diamond Jubilee in 2010. From the days of the Castle Combe estate and RAF airfield, the 154 page book charts the history of the Circuit, illustrated with numerous colour and black & white photos.

Copies of Castle Combe Circuit – The First 60 Years by Paul Lawrence and Peter Stowe are available from the Castle Combe Circuit Office or from the Circuit Shop at major events.

Castle Combe Circuit book

The Circuit Archive includes programmes, news reports, results sheets, photographs and memorabilia from 1950 onwards, and we are always interested in donation or loan of more of the same.

Although the Archive is not open to the public, we always endeavour to answer any questions relating to the Circuit’s history. Please contact the Circuit for further information.
