ARDS COURSE ON 31 MARCH TO BE POSTPONED FOLLOWING MOTORSPORT UK STATEMENT

Due to an email statement we received this morning from Motorsport UK, we regret to announce that we have no choice but to postpone our first ARDS Novice Driver Training Course that was scheduled for 31 March 2021.

This is due to Motorsport UK banning all ARDS, ARKS and BARS courses before 12 April 2021.

This news came as a surprise and disappointment to Castle Combe Circuit staff, who were cautiously optimistic that ARDS courses would be able to continue as of the end of March.

Motorsport UK said: “Essentially, dual occupancy of vehicles by persons not from the same household in the context of a driving test is not permitted until 12 April at the earliest, subject to local devolved government legislation … Therefore, no ARDS, ARKS or BARS courses are to be run or offered for participation before 12 April 2021 at the earliest. Any certificate issued in relation to tests that have taken place between today and 11 April inclusive will not be effective.”

If you require any more information regarding this announcement, please contact Motorsport UK directly.

We are working on rearranging the affected date and will post further updates as soon as possible.

Thanks for your cooperation.
