Whether it's through international blockbusters or gritty independent documentaries, the worlds of motoring and video have never shared a closer relationship than now. And as it's acted as a backdrop to many of these movies and online short films over the years, Castle Combe Circuit is once again proudly supporting this year's coveted International Motor Film Awards, set to be held in London on 6 September.
Announcing winners of the 'Best Journalism Film' category – one of 14 heavily-contested awards set to be dished out on the evening – a member of the circuit's staff will be present to hand over a trophy to the top outfit, who will also receive a whole day's hire of the Wiltshire venue to help create their next show-stopping film.
This year, there are five nominations, containing two entries for YouTube icons Carfection and the infamous Top Gear magazine respectively, as well as a nomination for Autocar's review on the Lamborghini Huracan Performante.
Graham Marshallsay, Managing Director of Castle Combe Circuit, commented on the venue's partnership with this renowned event. "The medium of video is becoming an increasingly important part of the way we interact with automotive journalism – something we've certainly noticed at the circuit over the last few years. We're therefore delighted to be announcing the winner of the Best Journalism Film category which, if the nominations are anything to go by, is once again set to be a hotly-contested trophy."
