Reis Motorsport Insurance – Castle Combe Circuit’s all-new track day and motorsport partner for 2019 – has vowed to arrange more accessible and affordable insurance deals for those taking to the track at the Wiltshire venue throughout the year.
A specialist supplier of insurance for motorsport, track day and performance road cars, Reis has not only become a partner to the venue but is also sponsoring its ever-popular GT Championship race series for the latest season.
With other track day insurance policies often being notoriously difficult to comprehend, the firm sets itself apart with its wealth of knowledge covering top-end competitive motorsport machines over the years, as well as boasting a team of staff that are equally-as-passionate about all things four wheels as those that they’re covering.
Exclusively for Castle Combe Circuit customers, Reis will reduce its fee down from the usual £70 to just £35 (to a minimum of £100 total cost).
To put that into practice, a 29-year-old male that’s taking his 2005 BMW 130i M Sport (valued at £10,000) to a track day at the venue can expect to pay in the region of just £150* all-in for cover, with a £1000 excess.
A quote for Castle Combe’s very own modified Volvo V40 Polestar track car, valued at £12,000 and being driven by a medium-experience driver in his late 30s, came in around the £165* mark, with a £1200 excess.
Another car, valued at £6000 and being driven by a medium-level driver could cost as little as £115 to insure.
Mark Taylor, Reis’ Motorsport Broker Manager, commented on the announcement. “We were disappointed to hear that many Castle Combe track day customers had been having difficulties in obtaining a decent, honest insurance solution. The policies we arrange are designed to be easy-to-understand and represent great value-for-money, and we’re planning on helping out as many customers to the venue as we can this year.”
Sam Preston, Castle Combe Circuit’s Digital Media and PR Specialist who is also a regular track day attendee, was equally as positive about the news. “More people than ever are appreciating just how important it is to get decent cover while they’re out on the circuit. You hear horror stories of those who have had some bad luck and not been insured, and it’s something I personally wouldn’t risk; especially as my track car also has to get me to work the following Monday morning.”
