CRMC CLASSIC BIKE RACING WEEKEND TO DESCEND ON CASTLE COMBE CIRCUIT THIS SPRING

The much-loved Classic Racing Motorcycle Club [CRMC] Classic Weekend event will make a triumphant return to Castle Combe Circuit this year, scheduled for 17-18 April.

First run in 2019, this two-day spring spectacular is back and promises to celebrate the thrill of classic motorcycle racing with jam-packed grids and parades out on the circuit.

Expect over 20 races and parades each day, including the first four rounds of the 2021 CRMC Club Championships and the opening rounds of the 2021 ACU Classic & Post Classic Championships.

Feature races include the ACU Post Classic 1300 Championship Trophy Race for the Derek Minter Trophy, as well as the Supermono GB & Lansdowne Cup Series as invited guest classes.

Classic machinery in action will include solo and sidecar CRMC bikes from the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s, pedigree ‘60s un-faired Lansdowne Cup Series bikes and over-375cc single-cylinder Supermonos.

2021 is a poignant year for motorcycle racing at Castle Combe as it marks the 70th anniversary of the first bike race meeting here, which was held on 28 July 1951.

It’s also the year that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first NG Road Racing meeting at the venue (17 October 1981). The dates for this year’s instalment of the NG Grand National race weekend have been confirmed as 4-5 September. Stay tuned for more details on this event.
