EBC Brakes – one of the world’s largest manufacturers of performance aftermarket braking components – has been revealed as the official brake partner of Wiltshire’s Castle Combe Circuit for the 2020 season.
The announcement sees the independently-owned UK-based powerhouse becoming the headline sponsor of the West Country venue’s Hot Hatch Challenge race series (now dubbed the ‘EBC Brakes Hot Hatch Challenge’), as well as having its products appearing on all of the circuit’s experience day sports cars throughout the year.
With its global headquarters in Northampton and a large manufacturing facility based in Bristol, EBC Brakes has had local connections to Castle Combe Circuit for many years, often testing and developing its prototype components there before they’re released around the world.
Heading towards its 40th anniversary, EBC Brakes produces all manner of car braking parts, from OE-replacement discs and pads through to motorsport-derived big brake kits designed for heavy track and race use. The company also has an equally-as-impressive range of products on sale for the motorcycle market. All items are still proudly made in the UK (Bristol) or USA (Las Vegas).
Tom Davis, Castle Combe Circuit’s Sales and Marketing Director, commented on the news. “I’m absolutely delighted to be working with such a prestigious brand as EBC Brakes. The company brings a lot to the table for our customers in both the racing and track day markets. We fully recognise the significance of being supported by such an important British company that supplies such consistently good-quality products.”
James Hallett, EBC Brakes’ Group CEO, also heralded the announcement. “It’s going to be great to work more closely alongside Castle Combe for 2020. With a range of new motorsport-derived products being released throughout the year from EBC, it’ll be the perfect chance to showcase these to an enthusiastic and track-focused audience.”
