During this unprecedented period of uncertainty in the UK and beyond, the Castle Combe Circuit team is livening things up for motorsport fans with ‘Combe TV’ – a Facebook Live show that airs every Wednesday and Sunday at 7pm.
Hosted by Sales and Marketing Director, Tom Davis, and the circuit’s leading commentator, Chris Dawes, Combe TV invites special guests along as the hosts discuss all things Castle Combe and motorsport.
We’re pleased to announce that 2018’s Castle Combe Formula Ford 1600 champion, Luke Cooper, will be on the show set to air on Wednesday, 20 May!
ABOUT LUKE COOPER
It’s safe to say that motorsport runs in Luke’s family, with his father, Alan, heading up the race instruction for the circuit, and brother, Jason, previously seeing good successes as a racer himself, mainly in the tin-top leagues. Together, they form the ‘Swift Cooper’ racing outfit in which Luke and Jason compete under.
Luke cut his teeth in karts right here at Castle Combe Circuit, becoming Junior Kart Champion in 2005 before winning gold trophies at several other leagues across the country in the following years.
In 2010, he won the coveted Castle Combe ‘Young Formula Ford Driver of the Year’ award, before taking the triple crown in the BRSCC Formula Ford 1600 series in 2012. Since then, Luke has continued to dominate in the Formula Ford world in his iconic red-and-white Future Inns-backed machine, taking Combe’s Class B lap record in 2015 before winning the 2018 championship outright.
He also fronts the family-owned kart track at Castle Combe under the family’s Drive-Tech company – the firm which also manages the skid pan and 4x4 facilities at the Wiltshire venue.
