It’s already been one hell of a race season at Castle Combe Circuit, with non-stop thrills and entertainment aplenty, but it’s now all eyes on the ever-popular ‘Grand Finals Race Day’, where the champions will once again be crowned.
Formula Fords, GTs, Saloons and Hot Hatches are all set for a final fling at the 1.85-mile Wiltshire race track on Saturday 14 September, as the curtain falls on the 2019 Castle Combe Racing Club (CCRC) season.
A lot has happened since the Howard's Day opener back on Easter Monday, and while two champions have already been confirmed (congratulations to Josh Fisher and Adrian Sturges), it is still all to play for in the Saloons, with Simon Thornton-Norris and Matt Parr again both in contention going into Grand Finals Race Day.
There’s also the traditional end-of-season CCRC Sports vs Saloons race with its ‘David vs Goliath’ antics and often a win from those least expected. In addition, Combe will also be welcoming competitors from the Morgan Challenge, the Mini Miglia and the Mini 7 Racing Club.
With eleven races in total, it’s a day not to be missed and a great way for you to end the race season in style and warm up before the sights and sounds of the Autumn Classic on Saturday 5 October
