During this unprecedented period of uncertainty in the UK and beyond, the Castle Combe Circuit team is livening things up for motorsport fans with ‘Combe TV’ – a Facebook Live show that airs every Wednesday and Sunday evening.

Hosted by Sales and Marketing Director, Tom Davis, and the circuit’s leading commentator, Chris Dawes, Combe TV invites special guests along as the hosts discuss all things Castle Combe and motorsport.

We’re pleased to announce that motorcycle/truck racer and TV personality, Steve Parrish, will be on the show set to air on Sunday, 10 May (AT THE RESCHEDULED TIME OF 5pm DUE TO THE PROPOSED GOVERNMENTAL TALK)!

Famous for his light-hearted personality, Parrish has been described as everything from champion motorcycle/truck racer, TV presenter, practical joker and just plain survivor throughout his successful multi-decade career.

Parrish is a close friend of Castle Combe Circuit, racing at the venue in the earlier days and more recently attending the vast majority of motorcycle racing events here as a special guest.

He competed in the highest level of motorcycling racing, becoming British Champion in 1976 and finishing 5th in the 1977 500cc World Championship, as teammate to that year’s champion, Barry Sheene.

Sheene, who met Parrish in 1975, was quoted as saying: “If Steve was to set up his bike as well as his victims and had put as much effort into the bike as he did the intricate pranks he pulled on people, he would certainly have been a World Champion.”

After retiring in 1986, Parrish managed a successful Yamaha factory team to three British Superbike Championship titles. He then started a truck racing career where he won five European Truck Racing titles.
Steve was the BBC commentator for the Moto GP, and a pundit for Eurosport’s World Superbike and British Superbike coverage, as well as the Isle of Man’s TT and Classic TT.

Last year saw the publication of his latest hilarious autobiography, Parrish Times, which tracks his amazing journey over the last four decades, through a rollercoaster ride of emotions in surely the most dangerous and exhilarating sporting arena there is. Steve promises to bring some uncut snippets of the book with him for his appearance on Combe TV.
