The 2022 instalment of Castle Combe Circuit’s much-loved Spring Action Day acted as an extremely successful opener to another show season as it descended onto the Wiltshire venue on Saturday, 2 April.
The event – once again proudly supported by Infinity Exhausts – was one of the venue’s first to be held at full capacity again follow two years of Covid-fuelled restrictions. And it certainly felt like everyone was making up for lost time!
With over 2000 stunning display cars filling up the circuit’s grounds, the static side of the show was nothing short of sensational.
Following the recent announcement that Bristol Detailing Supplies will be supporting the Show & Shine competitions at all Action Day events throughout the year, this feature was particularly memorable this time around, especially with the addition of a new stage area which went down a storm with the onlookers. All winners, including the all-new ‘Detailer’s Choice’ award, received a detailing pack from Bristol Detailing Supplies along with the usual trophy.

Organisers also made use of the new stage area when giving out the prestigious Car of the Show and Club of the Show awards, both of which were greatly received.

Club of the Show
Welsh Ford, Paddock 2
But that’s not where the excitement ended. Out on the circuit, 15-minute public track slots formed the backbone of the day, with a wildly varying mix of cars testing their limits out on the 1.85-mile track.
These sessions were broken up by the slower-paced parade laps, and the three white-knuckle drifting demonstrations that were carried out – always a crowd-pleasing feature!
Spring Action Day marks the start of another spectacular show season at Castle Combe Circuit. The next events are:
- Performance German Day, Saturday, 23 April (German cars only)
- Summer Action Day, Saturday, 21 May (all cars welcome)
