SWAMP THING 4X4’S TONY DIXON TO STAR ON SUNDAY’S COMBE TV

During this unprecedented period of uncertainty in the UK and beyond, the Castle Combe Circuit team is livening things up for motorsport fans with ‘Combe TV’ – a Facebook Live show that airs every Wednesday and Sunday at 7pm.

Hosted by Sales and Marketing Director, Tom Davis, and the circuit’s leading commentator, Chris Dawes, Combe TV invites special guests along as the hosts discuss all things Castle Combe and motorsport.

We can now reveal that the guest for the show set to air on Sunday, 31 May will be Tony Dixon – owner and driver of the Swamp Thing 4x4 monster truck!

ABOUT TONY DIXON/SWAMP THING 4X4

Melksham-based Tony’s obsession with monster trucks began in the ‘80s after seeing them on TV. He was inspired to one day own his very own – an ambition which stuck with him until the creation of the now-famous ‘Swamp Thing 4x4’ back in 2003.

Purpose-built by Dixon at a workshop near his home, Swamp Thing 4x4 is based on a Ford F350 Super Duty, now featuring a 2000bhp methanol-injected 527cu tall block with ZannTec supercharger.

Reaching 11’6” in height and boasting a 12’6” width, Tony has since piloted the formidable truck at countless shows around the UK and Europe. He is one of the few European drivers to have performed within the US-conceived Monster Jam show franchise, and even starred in his own TV series entitled Monster Mania.
