Track Car Door Cards has become the latest local automotive business to supply a tailored solution for Castle Combe Circuit and Wiltshire College’s Volvo V40 Polestar development track car.

The relatively new Bristol-based outfit was set up just over a year ago by company owner, Simon – a self-confessed track day addict who conceived the business after failing to find affordable, strong door cards for his stripped Renault Clio 172 hatchback.

Noticing that genuine carbon fibre items were normally not only expensive but also brittle and prone to chipping easily, Simon started by selling his own home-built door cards on social media. Soon making a name for himself, his very own website – – was born, now catering for countless makes and models and covering all manner of requirements and specifications.

The carbon fibre-effect components that Track Car Door Cards has created from scratch for Castle Combe Circuit’s Volvo ensure OEM functionality is retained when it comes to door and window controls. They provide a smooth, driver-friendly finish to the otherwise sparse cabin.

In conjunction with neighbouring Wiltshire College, Castle Combe’s Volvo V40 Polestar hot hatch is currently being transformed into an out-and-out track car, ready to be used and shown off at various events over the summer at the Wilshire venue.

“It’s great to have so many incredibly popular and talented automotive businesses on our doorstep,” Tom Davis, Castle Combe’s Head of Sales and Marketing, explains. “Simon was fantastic to work with and we’d thoroughly recommend him regardless of what application you’re after.”

Simon from Track Car Door Cards was equally as enthusiastic about the partnership. “I’m delighted to help out with this exciting car. I hope the bespoke solutions I provided will illustrate how versatile Track Car Door Cards is when it comes to bespoke requests.”
